Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline Bryan, celebrated 19 years of marriage on Monday (December 8).
“This is our anniversary post,” the country superstar said on TikTok as he celebrated “19 amazing years” married to Caroline. Caroline cheered, and said, “we’re old now. We’re sitting outside drinking tea,” at home by the fireplace with their dogs nearby.”
Luke and Caroline met as Georgia Southern University students at one of their college town bars in the late 90s. They dated on and off, and reconnected years later, after Caroline finished college and Luke started his music career in Nashville, Tennessee. They got married in an intimate Turks and Caicos wedding on December 8, 2006.
“We met in the most beautiful scenario: a college bar,” Bryan shared with Jennifer Hudson during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this year.. “It was a college bar, and we were both going to college, and it was a total deal where I saw her in the bar and kind of made my way over there’d told my stupid little one-liners. And here we are, you know, 18 and a half years later.”
“I married my college sweetheart,” Bryan previously said in a statement via his record label. “We dated back in college and broke up for nearly six years, and while I was off doing my Nashville stuff and touring and writing songs, she was finishing getting her career kind of going. Man, we just kinda bumped into each other one night, and it was like bam, here we are married.”
After the holiday season, Mind Of A Country Boy artist is gearing up for another season of American Idol to make its debut. He’s returning to the panel of judges alongside Lionel Richie and 2005 Idol champ Carrie Underwood, plus reuniting with longtime host Ryan Seacrest. The new season is set to premiere at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC on Monday, January 26.
