Dr. Oz Thinks Things Will Start To Get Back To Normal In June

Season 8

Dr. Oz is a talk show host who rose to notoriety as a frequent guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2004 where he'd share medical advice to guests and eventually became popular enough to have his own syndicated show. To this day, The Dr. Oz Show remains a staple of daytime television.

The Bobby Bones Show brought him on to talk about the coronavirus pandemic and where his role falls in everything. He said his hope is to simplify the complex messages about the coronavirus. He wants everyone to understand what's best for themselves and their families.

In breaking things down, Dr. Oz shared some simple answers for common questions.

  • If you're feeling sick, what should you do? If you have a cough, fever, or are just really tired without breathing issues then just stay at home. He continued by sharing that at some point we will all get it or we will get a vaccine.
  • What is your personal projection for when this should be over? We in New York at seeing the peak this week and next week. The 3rd week we will see a decline. The rest of the country will be about a week behind it. Dr. Oz says he thinks June is when things will be back to normal. May will be an experimental month.
  • He gave a reminder: contact means closer than 6 feet to a person and for longer than 10 minutes.
  • What should you do if you're going to the grocery store? Put gloves on as you walk in, take them off as you leave. Have something covering your mouth. When you get food home, leave bags outside because they will have the most germs on them, and bring everything in from there.
  • Washing your hands, washing your dishes, and washing your clothes is still the most important thing.
