Luke Bryan revealed plans for his new studio album during the American Idol finale on Monday night (May 11).
The longtime Idol judge will release his 12-track project, Signs, on September 18. The record will include previously-released singles “Word On The Street” —which inspired the title of the country star’s headlining tour — and “Country And She Knows It,” plus “Fish Hunt Golf Drink.” Bryan took the stage with the newest track on American Idol. He teamed up with Chase McGill and Matt Dragstrem to write the song, which was produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens.
“It is always a great day when I get the chance to release new music,” Bryan said in a press release issued as he announced Signs on Monday evening. “I’ve been working on this album for the past year, and I just love how it turned out. I was able to co-write a few, then turn to the writers in Nashville to round them out. I feel like my fans have always let me record songs that make you feel good, so I went into this album wanting everyone to just have fun.
“This record is a little bit of everything that shaped me,” Bryan said in the Signs album trailer. “It’s heartbreak and healing, backroads and barstools. It’s the signs you miss and the ones you can’t ignore. It’s the nights that went wrong and the ones you wish you could live again. It’s where I come from, the woods, the fields, the people, and how love, loss, and time have a way of straightening you out or crooking your rows of corn for good. These are my signs.”
Bryan’s upcoming performance dates include his “Farm Tour,” which returned to the West Coast for its second consecutive year, his headlining “Word On The Street Tour,” festivals, country legend Alan Jackson’s final show, a co-headlining run with Jason Aldean, and a newly-announced concert in Nashville, Tennessee. Shortly after Bryan releases Signs, she’s slated to take the Bridgestone Arena stage for the “one-of-a-kind” Luke Bryan & Friends show. The five-time Entertainer of the Year is bringing the Signs celebration event to the venue he’s sold out six consecutive times, according to a press release announcing the show on Tuesday morning (May 12). Tickets will be available to the general public at 10 a.m. CT on Friday (May 15).
Signs is Bryan’s latest studio album since Mind Of A Country Boy arrived in September 2024. Watch Bryan deliver the debut performance of “Fish Hunt Golf Drink” on American Idol here, and scroll below for his list of upcoming tour dates.
