Reba McEntire shared a heartfelt tribute to late legend Loretta Lynn on what wouldâve been the âCoal Minerâs Daughterâ singerâs 93rd birthday.
McEntire shared a clip of her performance of âYou Ainât Woman Enough (To Take My Man)â on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage as a tribute to Lynn on Monday (April 14). McEntire took the stage as part of the star-studded Opry 100: A Live Celebration last month, marking the Opryâs centennial in 2025. She wrote in her caption on Instagram on Monday: âHappy heavenly birthday to my friend and country music trailblazer, [Loretta Lynn]!â
Lynn was born in Kentucky on April 14, 1932. The groundbreaking country artist became known for âCoal Minerâs Daughter,â âYou AInât Woman Enough,â âFist City,â âIâm A Honky Tonk Girl,â and more throughout her decades-long career. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee âpassed away peacefully...in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills, [Tennessee],â the morning of October 4, 2022, her family confirmed in a statement at that time. She was 90. The country music community mourned Lynnâs loss and remembered her in heartfelt tributes including fellow Kentucky-born Grand Ole Opry member Carly Pearce, Tim McGraw, Shania Twain and many more.
