LeAnn Rimes rescheduled additional performance dates as she takes time to recover from illness and rest her vocal chords, the GRAMMY Award-winning artist announced in a statement on Wednesday (December 7).

The two shows that have been rescheduled are Friday night’s performance at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa (moving from December 9, 2022 to September 29, 2023), and Saturday night’s performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee (moving from December 10, 2022 to April 8, 2023). Rimes was also forced to postpone per show at Turning Stone Resort Casino last weekend in Verona, New York, explaining in a statement at that time that she was “too sick to travel and perform.”

“It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend’s shows,” Rimes said in note, posted on Instagram on Wednesday. “While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal chord, caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick. I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing…doctor’s orders! I am devastated to have to do this as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you.”

Rimes noted that ticket holders should check their emails for information about the rescheduled concert dates. The shows were part of Rimes’ “JOY: The Holiday Tour,” during which Rimes aims to perform holiday classics, in addition to some of her greatest hits and songs from her latest album, god’s work. Her next tour date is set for Friday, December 16 at the Chinook Winds Casino Showroom in Lincoln City, Oregon. See Rimes’ announcement here:
