Carrie Underwood Reveals Why You’ll Never Catch Her In A Tiny Bikini

Even though there’s no doubt she could rock it, country star, Carrie Underwood, recently shared with People that you’ll never catch her in an “itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, triangle-shaped bikini. Instead, she prefers to stick to the more “sporty” bathing suit styles.

The “Love Wins” singer shares, “I feel like with swimwear, growing up in my teenage years, early 20s, I couldn’t wear a triangle swimsuit.” Even today, she adds, “I can’t do it, it’s not going to happen. It would never have happened.”

The discussion stems from Underwood’s new Calia swim collection launched on July 16 at an event in the Hamptons, New York. The collection features a wide variety of pieces described by Underwood as “pretty functional” and inspired by years of trial and error experiences with swimwear.

Underwood shares, “I’ve had women come up to me and be like, ‘Thank you! I can take my teenage daughter and we can get things that are cute but also appropriate for her and for me.’ She continues, “And I think of myself running after my crazy kids and being at hotel pools, wanting to be cute but also not wanting to worry about things. Everything stays where it’s supposed to!”

Underwood might not be the biggest swimmer herself, but her 4-year-old son, Isaiah, is. “My son is a fish, he loves being in the water.” Underwood finds much more job in “being by the water or on the water, not so much in it. But it’s nice watching him, maybe having a glass of wine by the pool.”

Hm, glass of wine by the pool? Sounds good to me. Underwood's new Calia swim collection is available now. You can check it out here on the Calia online store or the line is also available at Dick's Sporting Goods.
