Kelsea Ballerini is keeping her feet on the ground after a slight jab from a pop queen.
The country superstar took to Twitter to react to The Voice’s latest commercial, which features new coach and Kelsea’s friend Kelly Clarkson in a “really, really, really long fabric train.”
Kelsea wasn’t the first to notice Kelly’s overly exaggerated dress accessory was very similar to the one Kelsea famously wore in her “Peter Pan” music video.
“If you’re gonna get made fun of, better hope it’s by the Queen,” Kelsea tweeted, tagging with “#peterpan,” “#reallyreallyreallylongfabrictrain,” and “#ILOVEHER.”
Shortly thereafter, Kelly responded to Kelsea, calling the similarity a “hilarious coincident.”
“Okay I swear I never saw that video…. I just watched your video and I’m dying laughing because it does appear as if we were poking fun at you,” Kelly posted in response. “You’re my girl!”
Okay 🤣🤣🤣 I swear I never saw that video and that this was not my concept hahaha but damn I just watched your video and I’m dying laughing because it does appear as if we were poking fun at you 😂 you’re my girl! I would have at least told you beforehand🤣 #hilariouscoincidence https://t.co/0WF4pEp2Iq— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) February 10, 2018
Kelsea is currently working on her fourth career No. 1 song with “Legends,” which currently sits at No. 2 on the country radio charts.
